All staff will be required to hold Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) registration within 6 months of starting date therefore a commitment to formal qualifications is expected.

CURRENT VACANCIES:

  • CONTRACTED SITTER (16 hours per week)

Direct Childcare are currently looking to contract a Sitter to ensure we continue to provide reliable and consistent support to the families using our service. The contracted Sitter is required to be flexible in their working hours and have access to their own vehicle as you may be required to take the child/children out and about.

Salary for this post is £7696 pro rata (£9.25 per hour).

The closing date for applications for this post is Monday 17th September 2018. Interviews will take place on Wednesday 26th September 2018.

  • SUPPORT WORKERS FOR OUR HOLIDAY CLUBS (recruitment is on-going)

Direct Childcare are looking for Support Workers experienced in working with children with Additional Support Needs (ASN) to work in our holiday clubs in Inverness and Cawdor during the Easter, Summer and October holidays.

Driving licence (with insurance covering business use) preferred but not essential.

Rate of pay is £8.50 per hour (pay increase pending)

  • SITTERS (recruitment is on-going)

Direct Childcare is recruiting experienced childcare workers in and around the Inverness area to join our innovative “Sitter Service”.

This service provides childcare workers who work in the children’s own homes and/or take the children out to various activities.

You need to have the flexibility to be available early mornings and/or after school, and sometimes evenings/weekends.

Driving licence essential.

Rate of pay is £9.10 per hour (pay increase pending).

Training opportunities & a pathway to qualifications are available.

  • CHILDCARE PRACTITIONERS (recruitment is on-going)

Direct Childcare is expanding its Practitioner team to provide quality childcare in a variety of settings, including:

Mobile Creches, Sitter service, Specialist Playschemes, Babysitting and Plus 1 (family support).

The hours are flexible to suit your availability. Training opportunities and a pathway to qualification are available. Childcare practitioners are required in the following areas: Nairn, Badenoch & Strathspey, Sutherland, Ross-shire, and Inverness.

Rates of pay vary dependant on role and start at £8.40 per hour.

These posts are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 and the successful applicants will be required to complete a PVG Scheme Membership.
